Mixer
concept
You most likely haven’t heard of Mixer, Twitch’s direct competitor.
Some say that Microsoft’s foray into the live stream space is just a bit too late, but that’s not entirely true. For U.S. streamers wanting to make a name for themselves, this newer platform is their new frontier.
Imagine the growth these U.S. live streamers would have by appealing to China, the most populous country and largest gaming market by revenue.
All they have to do is get up earlier to get the views (and more).
*Sadly, Mixer went live for the final time in July 2020.

e3 announcment
The campaign kicks off at E3, the gaming expo of the year.
Industry press will break the news about Chinese viewers earning 5x the Sparks (Mixer’s in-platform currency that viewers earn from watching content) and more just for tuning in to U.S. streams.
e3 prints
U.S. streamers will know the deal with making money by waking up earlier.
Morning messages
We’ll teach U.S. streamers Chinese gaming phrases to connect with their new audience.
#MorningMixer Challenge
We’ll challenge streamers to say the morning phrases on stream for 30 days straight. Because commitment is key to live style changes.
Clips or it didn’t happen.
UGC
We’ll repost those clips through Instagram Stories to get more streamers in the mix.
New skills
Viewers will redeem Sparks for new Skills (stickers) of a popular Chinese meme with English words, featuring a familiar streamer’s face to spam in chat.
Mixer + McDonald’s =
McMiXer
With enough Sparks, order McDonald’s delivery without leaving the streams.
Bonus content
Spikes in viewers will trigger Bonus Boxes to appear on-screen, where streamers can win more food, Embers (in-platform currency with cash value), and game/stream equipment.
The best part will be seeing live reactions on stream and in real time.
